An important aspect to becoming successful in the workplace is dressing for success and knowing how to present yourself to the company or business in which you are wishing to obtain a job at. It is important to take the time to ask yourself, "How do I want to present myself to others? and how do I want others to remember me?" By dressing according to the job you are wishing to obtain a job at, you will be able to look the part and be presentable to any prospective employer.

In order to be a successful individual in the workplace, you need to search for a place that is the best fit for you and you must be willing to work well with your fellow coworkers. At all times we must be equipped with materials to help others and to be there for everyone at all times. As a leader we need to be aware of our strengths and weaknesses and as a member of any workplace you need to be an effective communicator and always learn from these tools.
There are several different aspects of communication--written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening. Within your job you will need to develop effective communication skills in order to be successful in the workplace. Communication is the act, or process, of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors in order to express, or exchange, information to express your ideas, thoughts, and feelings to another person. Effective communication is key in anything and everything you whether it is at work, home, or school. In order to become an effective communicator it is essential to overcome some common inhibitors--differences in meaning, insufficient trust, too much information, distractions, listening problems, and inaccurate assumptions. By overcoming and avoiding these problems that might effect your communication skills, communicating becomes easier and effective in the workplace.
